Hi!
My name is Arianna. I’m sixteen, I’ll turn seventeen on the 14th of May of 2014, and I’m from Rome. I attend a Scientific High School, I have to study a lot, but I have a lot of fun with my classmates. It’s difficult to know someone from a letter, but I’ll try to say as much as I can about me to let you know something about my personality. I want you to know what I like the most, because I think that sharing with people interests and passions is a good way to know each other and to get on well.

I have two sisters both younger than me. I get on well with them. One is named Valeria and she’s fourteen, the other one is named Fabiola and she’s turning eight on this March. We live with our mum, and she has a lot of things to do. That’s why sometimes, when she’s tired or she comes back late from work, I prepare the dinner. I like cooking and I’m quite good at it. Actually, I like eating more, but that’s just a detail. I can cook pasta and rice in many different ways, I bake some lovely cakes and I can also make crêpes. Basically, I’ve learnt some recipes from my grandmother and from my dad, and some are the result of researches and a little bit of fantasy.

I’m fond of make-up and fashion. I like colourful clothes, and weird accessories.
Everyone says that I’m a cheerful girl, ‘cause I always smile, and it’s easy to make me laugh.
Maybe that’s why I love colours.
I like to try different make-ups, and I love nail arts.

In my free time, I like to do many different things like hanging out with friends, reading books, writing stories, and watching my favourite TV series.
I’m a fan of TV series like Glee, Once Upon a Time, Pretty little liars and Castle.
I’m not used to watching tv, I guess I just hate advertising spots.
My favourite movie since ever is Grease.

My favourite books are Hunger Games, Catching Fire and the Mockinjay.
I read them all in a week. I loved them, I kinda have a crush on Peeta as a character. Thanks to the movie I love Jennifer Lawrence. She’s one of my favorite actress. I love her not only because she’s a very good actress, but also because during the interviews she shows herself, and she doesn’t hide her flaws and she’s genuine.


My favorite sport is artistic gymnastics, and I’ve practised it for nine years, but unfortunately the last years I’ve hurt myself too many times, so I had to leave that sport.
I love dancing, in fact when I go to some birthday party I dance all the time with my friends, and I have so much fun.
I love music and I also like singing and that’s why I sing in two choirs once a week. I think that being part of a choir is an amazing experience, and you can’t really understand the feelings you prove when you sing if you’ve never been in a choir.
In my free time I also listen to music. My idols are Beyoncé, One Direction and Demi Lovato. But I also love artists like Conor Maynard, Cher Lloyd, Becky G, Karmin, Nicki Minaj, Lil Mama… It would be a waste of time writing all the singers I like.
This love for the music it’s like a family thing, my dad plays the guitar and he loves music too. My sister also plays the guitar and she’s attending a musical liceum. My grandfather (my dad’s father) was a musician, and my grandmother (my dad’s mum) was a singer.
I think music can make your life so much better.

I like travelling all around the world. I’ve been travelling a lot with my dad since I was nine.
He brought me and Valeria in so many different places. We’ve been to Barcelona, Paris, London, Dublin, Hong Kong, Bangkok. I went to Madrid last summer, but not with my parents.
I’ve never been to America, so I guess this is my chance.

I really want to be an exchange student, it would be a great opportunity for me to grow up as a person, to become more independent, to improve my English, and to know more about the American lifestyle and culture and to know a lot of new people.

I think that being an exchange student would be one of the best experiences of my life.
